Make New Contributions to Building a Demonstration Zone for Common Prosperity through High-Quality Development
On the morning of the 4th, Wang Hao, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, chaired a symposium in Hangzhou with entrepreneurs and experts and scholars to solicit their views and suggestions on next year’s economic outlook and economic work.
During the symposium, ten representatives—entrepreneurs and academic experts—including Li Shufu, Liu Jie, Liu Bo, Wang Wenjie, Lü Liang, Wang Jiangfeng, Chen Dezhan, Shi Jinchuan, Meng Gang, and Li Jun—spoke in turn. Wang Hao listened attentively and took detailed notes, engaging in in-depth exchanges with the entrepreneurs and experts on issues of common concern, and expressed his gratitude for their insightful views. He instructed the relevant departments to meticulously formulate and implement specific measures for each of the issues raised, ensure ongoing follow-up and progress, and establish a closed-loop mechanism; at the same time, he emphasized drawing broader lessons from individual cases to comprehensively and thoroughly resolve related problems across the board.
Wang Hao pointed out that next year marks the inaugural year of the 15th Five-Year Plan and is a pivotal year for making decisive progress in advancing high-quality development and building a demonstration zone for common prosperity, as well as for taking the lead in presenting a vivid picture of the basic realization of socialist modernization. Therefore, it is of paramount importance to do a good job in next year’s economic work. We must thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and the important instructions delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping during his inspection tour of Zhejiang, accurately grasp the major issues facing next year’s economic work, and continuously promote steady and sound economic performance while fostering overall social harmony and stability. It is essential to closely monitor and precisely assess the economic situation. At present, strategic opportunities coexist with risks and challenges, and the number of uncertain and hard-to-predict factors is on the rise; however, the underlying conditions and fundamental trends that support China’s long-term economic improvement remain unchanged. Our province enjoys distinct advantages, including a thriving private sector, balanced urban–rural and regional development, a profound cultural heritage, an outstanding ecological environment, and a cadre and public workforce committed to hard work and striving for excellence. Coupled with a series of national strategic advantages—particularly the national policy of relying on major economic provinces to shoulder the heavy responsibility—these factors have created significant opportunities for Zhejiang, brimming with substantial development dividends. It is hoped that enterprises will maintain strong confidence, take proactive measures, actively identify, adapt to, and seek change, continuously enhance the quality and efficiency of their development, and make new contributions and demonstrate new responsibilities in driving decisive progress in advancing high-quality development and building a demonstration zone for common prosperity, thereby leading the way in presenting a vivid picture of the basic realization of socialist modernization. Zhejiang will, through more precise and effective policies and stronger, more robust safeguards, create the best business environment for innovation and foster an optimal ecosystem, so as to support enterprises in becoming stronger, better, and larger and achieving high-quality development.
