Zhejiang’s First Island-Style Garden Substation Project Receives General Contracting Recognition for Its Steel Structure Work
On November 30, the steel structure works for the Zhoushan New Port (Agglomeration) 220 kV Transmission and Transformation Substation Project, undertaken by our company, were commended by State Grid Zhoushan Power Supply Company.
As a “power engine” tailor-made for the Zhoushan Marine Industry Cluster Zone, Zhejiang’s first island-style garden substation was successfully completed and put into operation on November 18, marking the full commissioning of the Zhoushan 220-kV Xingang (Cluster) Transmission and Transformation Project.
As the first demonstration project in the Zhoushan area for mechanized construction of substation infrastructure featuring a steel-structure main building, this project has received close attention from both the municipal government and company leadership since its inception.
In response to the technical challenges in engineering, our company has conducted in-depth research on intelligent detailed design, fabrication, and installation technologies for power plant steel structures, with a strong emphasis on quality control throughout the entire process—covering raw materials, fabrication, and on-site construction.
Chinese-style perimeter walls, a courtyard-style project office, and solar-powered landscape lighting—during the design and construction of the integrated substation, every effort was made to ensure seamless integration with the surrounding natural environment. The goal was to create a garden-style substation that is not only aesthetically pleasing and harmonious but also functionally practical, environmentally sustainable, energy-efficient, and cost-competitive.
In terms of safe construction, the Jiju Substation has established the province’s first on-site safety command center for power grid infrastructure projects, pioneering smart substation construction. By leveraging drones to conduct real-time monitoring of workplace safety at the construction site, the substation has achieved deep integration of “big data, cloud computing, IoT, mobile technology, and artificial intelligence” into project management processes.
According to available information, the Zhoushan Marine Industry Cluster is one of the 15 provincial-level industrial clusters prioritized for development by the Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government, and serves as the core area for economic development in the Zhoushan Archipelago. As development efforts in the cluster intensify, marine industries have been actively attracted and established in the area, leading to rapid growth in regional power demand.
The successful commissioning of the centralized transmission and transformation project has provided a reliable guarantee for stable power supply in the northern part of Zhoushan Main Island, thereby supporting the healthy and green development of Zhoushan’s marine industries. This recognition not only underscores the professional expertise and capabilities of our company in delivering high-quality services and fulfilling contractual obligations, but also serves as a powerful driver for the company’s high-quality development.
