Dadi Steel Structure Awarded the 2020 Advanced Unit Title by the Guiyang Airport Project Management Department
Recently, following on-site inspections and observations of our company’s project construction progress, construction quality, and safety assurance measures, the Guiyang Airport Phase III Expansion Command awarded our company the Guiyang Airport Project Management Department. “Advanced Unit of 2020” the certificate of honor, Li Feng The comrade also received “2020 Safety Model” the title of.
This not only demonstrates the Command Headquarters’ high regard for our company’s project management and construction quality, but also serves as a motivating encouragement for our future work.
The designation of “Advanced Unit in Project Management” represents a comprehensive assessment and evaluation of an engineering company’s project control capabilities. Since the commencement of the project, the company has rigorously implemented the command headquarters’ relevant regulations on project management, adhered to a construction philosophy characterized by high starting points, stringent standards, and exacting requirements, and upheld the principles of quality first and safety paramount in all aspects of its operations, thereby continuously advancing the enhancement of project control.
The Phase III Expansion Project of Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport is a key construction project planned during Guizhou Province’s 12th Five-Year Plan period. The design adopts a main terminal building–concourse configuration, with one main terminal and one concourse arranged in a “T” shape on the north side of Terminal 2, forming a corridor-style layout. The overall length spans 522 meters from north to south and 360 meters from east to west, with a total floor area of 167,000 square meters and an overhanging roof area of 8,143 square meters. The main terminal building stands 38 meters tall, while the concourse is 33 meters high. The project is designed to accommodate an annual passenger throughput of 30 million, a cargo and mail throughput of 250,000 tons, and 243,000 aircraft movements by 2025, with the aim of securing the “Huangguoshu” Cup for High-Quality Engineering in Guizhou Province and striving for the prestigious “Luban Award.”
Terminal 3 at Guiyang Airport is expected to become operational in the second half of next year, enabling seamless transfers between the terminal and Guiyang Metro Line 2 as well as Longdongbao High-Speed Railway Station upon completion. At the same time, the project will further strengthen the airport’s status as an aviation hub, enhance its overall support capabilities, and play a vital role in accelerating the development of a modern, integrated transportation system in Guizhou’s Shuanglong Aviation Economic Zone and in promoting greater opening-up.
On March 25, 2020, construction commenced on the metal roofing works; on July 15, 2020, the first water-tightness test in GB2-1-1 area was successfully completed; and on November 30, 2020, the water-tightness test for Concourse A was successfully concluded, 12 days ahead of the schedule mandated by the Project Command.
During the New Year’s Day holiday, numerous construction workers at the project site remained steadfast at their posts, working with unwavering enthusiasm and a sense of urgency to meet tight deadlines. The construction site was bustling yet well-organized, laying a solid foundation for a strong start to 2021. After hundreds of days and nights of dedication and relentless effort—despite the challenges posed by the pandemic—the project is now progressing rapidly and in an orderly manner toward its established goals.
