Smart Exploration | Specialized Welding Technology Training Event Concludes Successfully!
To cultivate more high-caliber, technically skilled personnel and to strengthen the company’s workforce of skilled professionals, Dadi Steel Structure held a specialized welding-training session on December 18. The event featured a lecture by Zhang Haiyan, a senior engineer from our company’s design institute, and was attended by more than 70 shop-floor welders.
At present, a new round of the industrial revolution is gaining momentum worldwide, and China is transitioning from a manufacturing giant to a manufacturing powerhouse. As a key priority under “Made in China 2025,” intelligent manufacturing represents a crucial opportunity and lever for China to achieve the transformation and upgrading of its manufacturing sector. Drawing on the historical evolution of industry and grounded in practical work, the speaker uses QR codes for component information as a starting point to invite the audience to scan and “enter the era of intelligent manufacturing,” vividly illustrating the integration of mobile communications and manufacturing operations. Proposed by the German government as a high-tech strategic initiative, Industry 4.0 aims to elevate the level of intelligence in manufacturing and to establish smart factories that are adaptive, resource-efficient, and designed with human factors in mind. Against the backdrop of Industry 4.0, the speaker takes the fabrication of steel box-section components as an example to explain the connections and distinctions between intelligent manufacturing and traditional automation.
By examining the exemplary smart manufacturing workshop of China State Construction Steel Structure, trainees gain a clear understanding of the widespread application and significant advantages of welding in intelligent manufacturing. Intelligent manufacturing not only continuously improves processes, optimizes operational methods, and substantially enhances manufacturing reliability and efficiency, but also accelerates the digital transformation and intelligent upgrading of the manufacturing sector, thereby comprehensively elevating development quality and core competitiveness.
This training program focuses on smart manufacturing in the context of Industry 4.0 and provides an in-depth overview of the application of welding in smart manufacturing. It not only updates the conceptual framework of smart manufacturing at the theoretical level, helping technical personnel better integrate into the smart manufacturing era, but also broadens the horizons and refines the methodologies for welders’ future practical applications. Of course, intelligent welding also has certain limitations, such as high capital investment and limited flexibility, which in turn place new demands on welders: first, to strengthen their sense of professional responsibility; second, to continuously enhance their technical expertise and pursue ongoing technological innovation.
