Two projects by Dadi Steel Structure have been selected for the “National Demonstration List of Innovative Projects in New-Type Building Industrialization.”
In December 2020, the All-China Federation of Real Estate Associations announced the first batch of “National Demonstration Projects for Innovation in New-Type Building Industrialization” for 2020. The new construction project for the Comprehensive Building of Sitan Primary School in Fengxian District and the Zhuhai Hengqin Tower Project, both undertaken by Zhejiang Dadi Steel Structure Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Dadi Steel Structure”), were awarded the honor of being designated as “National Demonstration Projects for Innovation in New-Type Building Industrialization” for the first batch of 2020.
The “National Demonstration Project for Innovation in New-Type Building Industrialization” is an outstanding model and the highest honor for green, high-quality development of new-type building industrialization in China, carrying significant prestige and wielding considerable influence and authority within the industry. The evaluation is conducted across multiple dimensions, including applicability, safety, economic efficiency, durability, and environmental performance.
The recognition of an engineering project as a model initiative demonstrates that the winning enterprise has upheld the fundamental principles of industrialized construction while integrating cutting-edge information technologies. By embracing lean and intelligent production and construction practices, and by placing technology at the forefront, the enterprise has successfully translated its innovative approach into concrete solutions that address the most pressing, direct, and practical concerns of the people.

The new comprehensive building project for Situduan Primary School in Fengxian District is located in Situduan Town, Fengxian District, Shanghai. The new building has a gross floor area of 9,348.9 square meters and a height of 21.9 meters, with a steel frame structural system. The campus integrates the school, garden, and recreational space into a single unified environment, blending natural beauty, cultural richness, and artistic appeal. The site comprises a U-shaped teaching building and a three-story comprehensive building, along with a standardized sports field, basketball court, ping-pong room, library, and other fully equipped facilities. The main structure of the project is constructed using steel, and the design and construction adopt prefabricated methods.

The Comprehensive Building of the Fourth Primary School features a steel frame structure and is divided into two separate blocks: the East Block and the West Block. The East Block has four above-ground floors, while the West Block has five; neither block includes a basement. The building stands 21.9 meters tall and has a total floor area of 9,348.9 square meters. The project utilizes box-section steel columns and H-shaped steel beams made of Q345B steel with plate thicknesses ranging from 8 to 30 millimeters. The floor slabs are constructed using reinforced concrete truss deck panels, and the roof is clad with aluminum–magnesium–manganese alloy standing-seam panels. Steel frame beam–column connections in this project are implemented using high-strength bolted connections combined with welding.


The Zhuhai Hengqin Tower project is located in the Port Service Area of the Hengqin New Area in Zhuhai City. It is a super-tall mixed-use building integrating commercial, office, and other functions, with a total floor area of approximately 125,000 square meters. The main structural system is steel, comprising box columns, double-H-section steel columns, pentagonal columns, cross-shaped columns, box-type steel plate shear walls, H-section steel beams and box girders, as well as H-section steel bracing—resulting in a highly diversified structural configuration that places stringent demands on fabrication and construction control. The building’s exterior envelope features a glass curtain wall, and the entire interior is finished to a high standard; the project employs prefabricated construction design and methods. The main tower comprises four underground levels and 44 above-ground floors, reaching a height of 199.62 meters, while the podium consists of 10 floors rising to 50.7 meters. The podium is seamlessly integrated with the tower. The typical floor-to-floor height is 4.4 meters, and the tower’s plan has a typical dimension of 42.5 meters by 42.5 meters, yielding an aspect ratio of approximately 4.43. The total floor area is about 125,000 square meters. The main structure is constructed in steel: for the portion of the tower below 50.7 meters, Q345GJB steel is used for the steel columns, steel plate shear walls and their stiffening plates, and connection plates; for all other steel columns, steel beams, steel plate shear wall supports and their stiffening plates and connection plates, Q345B steel is specified; anchor bolts are made of Q345 steel, and corner braces are made of Q235B steel. For steel plates with a thickness of 40 millimeters or greater, the Z15 performance requirement must be met. The use of thick plates significantly increases both fabrication complexity and installation challenges.
