Another Outstanding Achievement: Dadi Steel Structure Wins Bid for the “Dual-Use in Peacetime and Emergency” Reconstruction and Expansion Project of the Tonglu Service Area on the Hangxinjing Expressway

Recently, Dadi Steel Structure, in collaboration with China Railway Second Institute Engineering Group Co., Ltd., successfully won the bid for the design–procurement–construction (EPC) general contracting project of the “dual-use for routine and emergency” renovation and expansion of the Tonglu Service Area on the Hangzhou–Xin’an–Jingde Expressway, with a contract value of RMB 209.39 million. This achievement marks another significant breakthrough for the company’s EPC business segment.

Project Overview

The project is located in Jiangnan Town, Tonglu County. Currently, the service area covers 12,600 square meters and has been recognized as one of the Top 100 National Model Service Areas and a Five-Star Service Area in Zhejiang Province. It handles more than 5.7 million vehicle trips and over 18 million driver and passenger visits annually.

This project is planned to undertake a “dual-use for routine and emergency” renovation, with a total building area of approximately 35,000 square meters and a total investment of about RMB 290 million. The entire site covers approximately 295 mu and is divided into two parcels located on the north and south sides of the expressway.

This expansion and renovation project is divided into two zones: the north and the south. The north zone will undergo a comprehensive redevelopment, with approximately 31,165 square meters of new floor area, a plot ratio of about 0.4, and a green space ratio exceeding 20%. The total number of parking spaces will be increased to roughly 500, with 15% of the first-phase parking spaces designated for passenger vehicle charging; the ultimate goal is to achieve 30% of such spaces.

The southern zone will undergo localized upgrading, adding approximately 3,005 square meters of floor area on top of the existing building footprint, with a site coverage ratio of about 0.1 and a green space ratio exceeding 20%. The total number of parking spaces will be increased to approximately 590, with 15% of the Phase I parking spaces designated for passenger car charging; the target is to achieve 30% of such spaces.
