Setting Sail: First Batch of Steel Components for Singapore’s J120 Jurong East Integrated Transport Hub Project Successfully Shipped

Recently, the components fabricated and manufactured by Dadi Steel Structure have Singapore J120 Jurong East Integrated Transport Hub Project The first batch of steel components has been officially shipped, successfully completing the fabrication and shipment of the main trusses for the overpass section of this project.

Project Overview

The J120 Jurong East Integrated Transport Hub project in Singapore is located in the heart of Jurong East, and the structural component currently being shipped is the elevated walkway.

The exterior of the sky bridge features a clean, symmetrical design that echoes the building’s horizontal architectural language, seamlessly linking the roof areas on the east and west sides and creating an integrated connection among the transportation hub, commercial spaces, and public amenities.

Project Highlights

This project encompasses a variety of structural forms, including box-type trusses, H-shaped steel beams, and temporary tubular tower structures, and employs a shipping configuration that combines containerized cargo with bulk carrier transport.

The primary challenge of this project lies in the requirement for full-penetration, through-length welds in the main structural members, with 100% ultrasonic testing (UT) and 100% magnetic particle testing (MT) as the inspection criteria, coupled with stringent control over welding-induced distortion in the truss structure.

This project is associated with The Singapore J108 MRT Station project is in Dadi Steel Structure has achieved synchronized production. Both projects are key infrastructure initiatives in Singapore, with fabrication standards adhering to European norms and requiring factory certification under Singapore’s S1 accreditation.

The successful completion of this steel-structure main truss shipment not only demonstrates Dadi Steel Structure’s comprehensive strength in process, technology, and management, but also further enhances the company’s visibility and competitiveness in the international market.
