The E09-05 Plot Project in Unit ZH-02 of the Shanghai Lingang Comprehensive Industrial Zone Has Successfully Reached Roof Completion.
On the morning of November 28, under a brilliantly clear blue sky and bright sunshine in Shanghai’s Lingang New Area, the topping-out ceremony for the E09-05 plot within Unit ZH-02 of the Lingang Comprehensive Industrial Zone was successfully held, witnessed by leaders and representatives from the project owner, design firm, supervision agency, construction contractor, and other participating parties.
Unit ZH-02, Plot E09-05, is located in Nanhui New Town, Pudong New Area, Shanghai. The site covers a total land area of 33,000 square meters, with a total floor area of 110,000 square meters and a steel consumption exceeding 10,000 metric tons. The development comprises six individual buildings: five eight-story research buildings and one four-story R&D factory building, featuring a total of ten concrete structural core tubes. The project design involves a large variety of member cross-sectional dimensions and a substantial number of components, with the floor slabs constructed as steel-tube prestressed composite slabs.
Since the commencement of construction, the project team has united as one, mobilized full energy, and efficiently allocated construction resources to overcome challenges such as limited site space, tight supply chains, and constrained tower crane availability. At the same time, seamless coordination and handover among different disciplines have been ensured: during the installation of PK panels, secondary beams are pre-embedded in the steel structure; once the PK panels on the lower level are fully installed, the secondary beams for the upper level are then erected, thereby establishing a sequential, flow-line construction approach that enhances productivity and enables the timely completion of all major milestones outlined in the project’s overall schedule.
Upon completion, the project will establish a smart eco-park that integrates R&D and design, creative incubation, and production and testing, dynamically aligning the 5G and 6G industries with economic and social development. It will comprehensively advance progress across multiple sectors, including the economy, science and technology, education, and talent development, ultimately positioning itself as a leading cluster park for the 5G and 6G industries in the Lingang New Area and a new global hub for the development of communications, networking technologies, and the information industry.
Going forward, the project team will, as always, maintain a high level of motivation, strengthen integrated planning and coordination, and implement scientific and precise construction practices, thereby delivering higher-quality, safer, and more efficient services to our clients and contributing to the high-standard development and high-quality growth of the New Area’s economy.
