Pooling New Strength | The 2023 University Student Training and Mentor-Mentee Pairing Signing Ceremony at Dadi Steel Structure Concludes Successfully
To help new employees quickly transition into their roles and adapt to the new work environment—effectively delivering the “first lesson in the workplace”—Dadi Steel Structure held its 2023 University Graduate Training Program and Mentor–Mentee Pairing Signing Ceremony on July 17. The event was attended by senior management, including Chairman Pei Chuanfei, General Manager Fang Shunsheng, and Deputy General Managers Xu Xiangjun, Luo Mingwen, and Wang Chunfeng.
Earnestly期盼, Ushering in a New Journey
Chairman Pei Chuanfei began by extending a warm welcome to all the new employees. He emphasized that for the company to achieve long-term growth, it must continuously draw on the energy and talent of the younger generation and infuse fresh vitality into its ranks.
As a mentor, one must not only impart professional skills but also, through rigorous self-discipline and the cultivation of sound values, guide apprentices in their conduct and interpersonal approach. Striking a balance between high expectations and heartfelt care is essential to embodying the true spirit of teaching.
As a disciple, one must first cultivate proper conduct before undertaking any task. The core value system of traditional Chinese culture emphasizes “reverence for Heaven and Earth, the Sovereign, parents, and teachers” and “upholding benevolence, righteousness, propriety, wisdom, and trustworthiness.” One should always maintain a heart of respect and gratitude, approach others with sincerity and empathy, and honor one’s master.
He put forward the “10,000-Hour Rule” as an aspirational goal, encouraging new employees to engage in continuous learning and steady progress—refining their skills through experience and honing their capabilities through down-to-earth dedication. He expressed the hope that everyone would gain valuable insights and achievements on this open and inclusive platform for growth, aligning their development with the company’s strategic trajectory, growing together, and becoming the architects of the enterprise’s next era of success.
Speeches by Delegates, Messages to the Youth
General Manager Fang Shunsheng briefed the new employees on the company’s nearly thirty-year journey of steady growth and resilience, exploring its mission, vision, core values, and strategic direction from multiple perspectives to help them get off to a strong start in their new roles.
Deputy General Manager Xu Xiangjun outlined the company’s business operations across its five major segments and its regional development strategy, while articulating the company’s talent management philosophy: “Bring together those who strive forward and inspire those who deliver results.” He expressed the hope that mentors will impart knowledge, pass on skills, and resolve students’ doubts, while students will approach learning with humility, be willing to take risks, and embrace trial and error.
Deputy General Manager Luo Mingwen shared the outcomes of the “Three Integrations” internship program, outlined the company’s three-tier system for fostering talent development, and emphasized the importance of drawing inspiration from role models and progressively clarifying one’s career plan. He encouraged new employees to engage in continuous learning, cultivate personal interests and hobbies, apply the insights gained during their internship to their work, and actively put these principles into practice.
Hu Diaohan from the Technology Center, Lin Yiguo from the Manufacturing Department, and Zheng Yuheng from the Design Institute, as representatives of the 2022 mentor–mentee pairing program, presented their learning outcomes and shared their experiences and insights with everyone.
Mutual Growth Through Teaching and Learning, Passing the Torch from One Generation to the Next
During the meeting, company leaders presented stipends to the mentor-mentee pairs for 2022. The mentors and mentees then solemnly signed training agreements, clearly outlining the obligations and responsibilities of each party. The mentee performed the traditional拜师 ceremony and presented flowers to the mentor. Although the training agreement is but a thin sheet of paper, it embodies the mentor’s generous guidance, the mentee’s diligent pursuit of learning, and the mutual commitment of both parties to work together and advance side by side.
In July, the summer breeze rustles through the trees, heralding the blossoming of new buds. May all young people harness the passion and vigor of youth to write the answer sheet of our times and, through relentless striving, contribute to the growth and success of enterprises.
