The topping-out ceremony for the ShanghaiTech University Science Park and the “Zhangjiang Online” Yangtze River Delta Integrated Collaborative Innovation Platform project was successfully held.
On the afternoon of March 27, the topping-out ceremony for the ShanghaiTech University Science and Technology Park and the “Zhangjiang Online” Yangtze River Delta Integrated Collaborative Innovation Platform project was successfully held, marking a significant milestone in the project’s construction and laying a solid foundation for its timely completion.
The project is located on Plot B3b-06 in Zhangjiang Science City, Pudong New Area, Shanghai, with a total floor area of approximately 82,000 square meters. It is situated within Pudong’s “Golden Mid-Ring Development Belt,” adjacent to the Zhangjiang Urban Subcenter and directly opposite the “Science Gate” of Zhangjiang, to the north and south.
The project comprises a 20-story office tower standing 99.9 meters tall, along with two three-story office buildings on the eastern side of the site. The primary functions are research and office use, supplemented by ancillary office facilities, with commercial amenities appropriately integrated into the podium of the tower. The building features a two-level underground basement, which houses an underground parking garage and equipment rooms, among other functional spaces.
During project construction, guided by the principles of energy conservation, land conservation, water conservation, material conservation, and environmental protection, we have strived to establish a model green construction project through various measures, including optimizing construction management, conducting thorough green construction briefings, implementing rigorous process control, and developing new green construction technologies.
As a key demonstration project for safety and civility in Shanghai, this project has garnered close attention from leaders at all levels since groundbreaking. After countless days and nights of nonstop work and despite the recurring challenges posed by the pandemic, the main steel structure of Building No. 1 was successfully installed on March 15, 2023.
