Two scientific and technological achievements of Dadi Steel Structure have been awarded the “Technological Innovation Achievement” title by the Shanghai Metal Structures Industry Association.
Recently, the Shanghai Metal Structure Industry Association announced that two scientific and technological achievements submitted by Dadi Steel Structure—“Research and Application of Key Construction Technologies for Suspended Structural Systems” and “Research and Application of Design and Construction Technologies for Non-Insertion Short Steel Beam–Column Transfer Joints”—were awarded the 2022 “Technological Innovation Achievement” title. In addition, our company’s Tian Yunyu and Wang Aiyuan were honored with the 2022 “Outstanding Technical Personnel” award conferred by the Shanghai Metal Structure Industry Association.
1. Research and Application of Key Construction Technologies for Suspension Structural Systems
This achievement is based on the construction practice of the Shanghai Jinqiao Guopei Site R&D Project undertaken by our company, and was jointly developed by the Dadi Steel Structure Technical Team and the Longyuan Mingzhu Structural Engineering Team through comprehensive research and development on the entire process of suspended structural construction. By adopting the “reverse construction method”—a construction technique that is the inverse of conventional suspended structural design—significant improvements have been achieved in construction safety, project schedule reduction, and seamless, sequential assembly-line construction.
2. Research and Application of Design and Construction Techniques for Non-Insertion Short Steel Beam-to-Column Transfer Joints
This achievement is the result of in-depth exploration and summarization of scientific and technological innovations jointly developed and researched by Zhejiang Dadi Steel Structure Co., Ltd., East China Architectural Design & Research Institute Co., Ltd., Shanghai Jinqiao (Group) Co., Ltd., Shanghai Construction Group No. 1 Engineering Co., Ltd., and Tongji University.
This technology addresses a series of design and construction challenges associated with conventional steel beam-to-column transition details that rely on full-length, through-going steel beams. By adopting an optimized beam–column transition detail in which short connecting steel sections are pre-embedded within the concrete beam, the approach significantly reduces the amount of steel required at the joint, simplifies construction, and delivers substantial economic and social benefits, thereby demonstrating considerable potential for further development and widespread application.
