Seeking Truth and Being Pragmatic, with Full Exchange: The 2020 Group Publicity and Administration Work Conference Concludes Successfully

On November 27, Longyuan Group held its 2020 Corporate Communications and Administrative Work Conference in Ningbo, the Group’s headquarters. Participants from across the country gathered to review the 2020 communications and administrative efforts and to map out the work plan for 2021. The conference was attended by Vice President Lai Yeyun, who delivered a speech, along with nearly 50 representatives from various departments and subsidiaries.

In her report, Lai Yeyun pointed out that in 2020 the administrative division took epidemic prevention and control, implementation of work assignments, archive inspections, performance evaluations, and promotional activities as its “five key priorities,” thereby striving to achieve “five major boosts”: enhancing back-office service standards, transforming employees’ work styles, solidifying basic management standards, ensuring effective execution of post-specific management tasks, and elevating the corporate culture and brand. She emphasized that in 2021 it is essential to continue robust epidemic prevention and control efforts, rigorously strengthen basic management, further enhance work-style development, and jointly create a bright future for the Longyuan team.
Over the past year, the Group has achieved notable results in its brand promotion efforts: a comprehensive upgrade of the Group’s brand image, steady and well-organized public relations management, consistent and proactive brand communications, multifaceted innovation on self-media platforms, a positive atmosphere for corporate cultural activities, and effective enhancement of the quality of our corporate correspondents. The meeting emphasized that all staff are encouraged to proactively and strategically identify valuable news leads; to strengthen their planning awareness and conduct content planning in advance; and to continue benchmarking against industry leaders, continuously raising work standards, intensifying learning, and striving to take the Group’s brand promotion efforts to the next level.
This year’s Corporate Communications and Administration Conference differed from previous years in its innovative format for knowledge sharing. In the past, the headquarters would deliver reports, followed by presentations from representatives of outstanding subsidiaries. This year, however, we divided the conference into three major thematic tracks—Administration, Corporate Communications, and Human Resources—and engaged all attendees in discussions around nearly 20 specific sub-themes. Participants came well-prepared, each bringing their own insights and experiences to the table. Those with questions raised them, while those with relevant experience shared their best practices. The atmosphere was vibrant and interactive, as everyone learned from one another’s strengths and worked together to improve.
As the top performer in this year’s semi-annual administrative assessment, the Ningbo Branch delivered a dedicated experience-sharing session. The General Contracting Management Company’s robust “execution capability” has long been a focal point within the organization, and Li Feng outlined their specific approaches to institutional development. He emphasized that all of the company’s policies and procedures are formulated only after extensive consultation and feedback, which significantly enhances their practicality and effective implementation. In addition, he stressed the importance of thorough communication and training on new policies, as well as real-time monitoring of their execution. How administrative staff who wear multiple hats can effectively allocate their time and continuously enhance their professional skills is a topic of great concern among many colleagues present. Wang Lan from the Jiangsu Branch, who ranked first in the semi-annual administrative assessment, shared her seven years of growth and achievements based on her own day-to-day work.
This year, the subsidiary’s brand-building efforts have blossomed across the board, with each unit pioneering innovative promotional approaches to present the Longyuan brand image in a comprehensive and diversified manner. The China Development Zone Innovation and Development Conference, now in its third year, is a major industry forum hosted by Longyuan Tiance. At the event, Chen Wanyun shared their newly launched “CDI China Development Zone Live Streaming Room,” highlighting creative investment promotion strategies and live-streamed sales of industrial properties, which sparked lively discussions among attendees. Within the Group’s WeChat ecosystem, Hangzhou City Investment Construction was the first to launch its own Douyin account. Drawing on the “Brother Kai Takes You on a Virtual Tour of the Auto Show” VLOG campaign as an example, Shi Yun outlined their initial foray into short-video content creation.
The effective execution of corporate communications hinges on building a robust team of correspondents, and Longyuan Mingcheng is no exception—here, too, there is a dedicated corps of correspondents. During an exchange and sharing session, Liu Xiaoqing emphasized the importance of sustaining the vitality of the correspondent group and of prioritizing training and knowledge-sharing for its members. Meanwhile, Mingshu Data operates what is currently the largest WeChat official account in the PPP industry—the “New Infrastructure Investment and Financing Circle”—which boasts 220,000 followers but is managed by a small team of just three people. In Shi Jingli’s view, the effective operation of such communities is one of their most valuable assets.
The four-hour in-depth exchange injected new vitality, fresh knowledge, and innovative ideas into this conference. Representatives from each subsidiary company unanimously expressed that the thorough and substantive discussions were highly beneficial, yielding a wealth of insights. These best practices and valuable recommendations will not only broaden our approach to work but also provide guidance for the implementation of specific administrative and publicity initiatives in the coming year.
This year, a number of new faces have joined Longyuan’s team of correspondents. All subsidiaries present have launched their own WeChat official accounts, and the Group now boasts a WeChat matrix comprising 12 subsidiary accounts, each contributing to the promotion of the Longyuan brand. As of the end of November, we had received a total of 470 submissions from our various subsidiaries—exceeding last year’s full-year submission total and setting a new record.

At the meeting, the Group recognized outstanding collectives and individuals in its 2020 publicity work. The Shaanxi Branch, Ningbo Branch, Zhejiang Branch, Hangzhou Urban Investment Construction, Dadi Steel Structure, and Longyuan Mingcheng were named “2020 Outstanding Collectives in Corporate Publicity.” Lai Chaoliang of the Ningbo Branch and Mo Tangyi of Dadi Steel Structure were honored as “2020 Outstanding Correspondents” for submitting the highest number of articles, while Li Lulu of the Henan Branch and Hu Hanxiao of Longyuan Municipal Maintenance, both making their debut in the top five on the submission list, were awarded “2020 Best Newcomers.” This year, we also introduced a new award: “2020 Best Liaison Officer.” Liu Xiaoqing of Longyuan Mingcheng and Wang Lan of the Jiangsu Company—well-known veteran correspondents—are leveraging their influence to mobilize more frontline employees to join the publicity team.
The following day, the delegation visited and studied the Dongqianhu Station of Section TJ4017 for Civil Works on Ningbo Metro Line 4. Located in the core area of Dongqianhu Lake, the project comprises two main components: the planned Dongqianhu Station and the underground structural works for the Dongqianhu New Town Tourism Transportation Hub. Dongqianhu Station serves as the terminus of Ningbo Metro Line 4 and, as the first rail transit project won by Longyuan Group, holds significant strategic importance for the Group’s further expansion into the rail transit sector across Ningbo and throughout China. According to reports, Ningbo Metro Line 4 is scheduled to officially open on December 1. Prior to the official opening, the delegation was granted an exclusive, VIP-led tour of Dongqianhu Station, with participants enthusiastically commenting: “This is the first time we’ve had a private, VIP group tour of a metro station—our own project really does deliver!”

During the Q&A session of this corporate communications and administration meeting, every participant had the opportunity to share their thoughts, and this pragmatic approach was unanimously praised by all attendees. Lai Yeyun stated that this year’s meeting format is highly commendable and should be institutionalized as a standard practice. At present, the Group is at a critical juncture in its transformation and upgrading. As an integral part of the enterprise’s unique productive forces, all employees in the administration and corporate communications functions must remain steadfast in their commitment, benchmark against excellence, and rigorously implement all fundamental management tasks. Our goal is to build a comprehensive, professional, and dynamic mid- and back-office team that will contribute meaningfully to the long-term development of Longyuan as a centennial enterprise.
