Dadi Steel Structure Holds Welding and Grinding Skills Competition
In response to the call for “Quality Month” and to enhance quality awareness across the organization, Dadi Steel Structure held a welding and grinding skills competition on September 29.
The competition adopts a realistic, hands-on approach, featuring two core events—welding and grinding—to comprehensively assess contestants’ welding process control, grinding skills, adherence to operational standards, and overall efficiency in completing tasks. The event also welcomed Mr. Liu, General Manager of BV, the third-party supervision company for the Morocco project, who served as a judge.
Real-World Showdown, Artisanal Brilliance
At the competition venue, contestants donned uniform workwear, protective face shields, and wielded welding guns, fully immersed in the contest. Some crouched halfway at their workstations, meticulously adjusting current settings and wire-feed speed to ensure uniform penetration at the steel-plate joint; others employed subtle wrist movements to prevent defects such as undercut and porosity.
At the polishing competition venue, contestants meticulously control angle and pressure, performing precision polishing in accordance with process standards to achieve exact dimensions and a smooth, even surface.
The blazing arc and flying sparks of the welding torch intertwine, fusing a smooth, even weld bead and polished surface onto the metal—this is not only a testament to skill, but also a commitment to product quality.

After fierce competition, the judging panel ultimately selected two first-prize winners, three second-prize winners, and four third-prize winners, and presented awards to the recipients.
