“The ‘Wind King’ is Coming! The Company Fully Bolsters Its Typhoon Preparedness Against ‘Hagupit’”

At around 17:00 on September 24, Super Typhoon No. 18 “Hagupit” made landfall along the coast of Hailing Island in Yangjiang City, Guangdong Province, with maximum sustained winds of Grade 13 and a minimum central pressure of 955 hectopascals, earning it the title of this year’s strongest “wind king.”

In the face of the sudden typhoon onslaught, the Zhuhai Gree S7 Project Team swiftly entered emergency mode, rigorously implementing all emergency directives: activating contingency plans at the earliest opportunity, coordinating across all fronts, and deploying multiple layers of protective measures to ensure the safety of personnel and the stable operation of the project.

I. Responding to the “Wind” and Prioritizing Early Warning

Following the issuance of the typhoon warning for “Hagupit,” the project manager immediately rushed to the site and convened a meeting to deploy typhoon-prevention measures for “Hagupit.” Adopting a proactive stance of “facing risks head-on and exercising forward command,” the team further refined and strengthened the defense plan, ensuring that responsibilities are assigned to specific individuals and that all preventive measures are fully implemented.

II. Proactive Defense and Thorough Deployment

During the critical pre-landfall response period for the typhoon, the project team has adhered to the principle of “safety first, prevention foremost” and systematically advanced typhoon-prevention efforts. Key measures have been rigorously implemented: Conduct protective relocation and standardized placement of materials, arrange safe shelters for workers and provide essential living supplies, and procure additional emergency supplies for hazard avoidance. Ensure proactive risk management and dynamic elimination of potential hazards.

III. United in “Recovery,” Building Safety Together

To ensure the orderly resumption of work and production in the aftermath of the disaster, the project team promptly convened a special meeting and established the guiding principle of “conducting a thorough inspection first, then resuming operations.” Led by senior management, a comprehensive post-disaster safety inspection was carried out, with particular emphasis on large-scale machinery and temporary facilities. The inspection focused on identifying potential hazards and verifying operational performance, thereby providing robust support for the safe and efficient resumption of work and production. Through these pragmatic measures to prepare for typhoons, the project team vividly demonstrated its commitment to safeguarding safety and building a strong defense, as well as its sense of responsibility and decisive action in ensuring effective implementation.
