Successful First Lifting of Components for Phase II of the Shanghai Jinqiao Yuan Center and the Expansion Project (Phase II) of Shanghai Huguo Temple
I. Shanghai Jinqiao Yuan Center Phase II Project
On May 1, the steel structure work for the underground portion of Phase II of the Shanghai Jinqiao Yuan Center project successfully completed its first lifting operation.
The project is located in the core area of the Jinqiao Subcenter in Shanghai’s Pudong New Area, with a total floor area of 324,464 square meters and a maximum slab thickness of 100 millimeters. It comprises a 291.79-meter-tall office and commercial tower with an attached podium, as well as a 200-meter residential and commercial podium—the tallest such development in Shanghai—aiming to create a mixed-use, ultra-high-rise complex that integrates R&D offices, distinctive retail spaces, and high-end residences.
II. Expansion Project (Phase II) of Huguo Temple in Shanghai
On May 18, the first steel structure hoisting for the Phase II expansion project of Huguo Temple in Shanghai was successfully completed.
The project is located within the Ximen Historical and Cultural Conservation Area in Jiading District and comprises eight single-story to two-story buildings. The structural system is a steel frame, with components that are highly similar yet distinct, thereby placing stringent demands on integrated planning and management of production scheduling, storage, and shipment during the fabrication process.
As a landmark building in Jiading’s West Gate, Huguo Temple, with its 1,500-year history, is not only a vital component of the “West Gate Old Street Historic District” but also a key project in the renovation of Jiading’s old town. Upon completion, the project will advance the development of the Jiading West Gate Historical and Cultural District, creating a “cultural and educational hub—a historic street imbued with the unique charm of Jiading.”
