Dadi Steel Structure Achieves Outstanding Results at the Hangzhou “926 Artisan Day Cup” Prefabricated Construction Technician Vocational Skills Competition
On October 28–29, the 2022 Hangzhou “926 Artisan Day Cup” and “Southeast Steel Structure Cup” Vocational Skills Competition for Prefabricated Building Construction Workers was successfully held. Our company sent three contestants to represent Xiaoshan District in the competition, with Wang Jianliang taking first place, Zhang Xing third, and Cao Xiangsen fourth. Dadi Steel Structure was also honored with the Award for Outstanding Organizing Unit.
This competition was jointly organized by the Hangzhou Municipal Commission of Urban and Rural Construction and the Hangzhou General Federation of Trade Unions, with 10 representative teams from all districts and counties across the city taking part.
The competition is divided into two parts: “should-know” (theoretical knowledge) and “should-can” (practical skills). The theoretical component primarily assesses aspects such as technology, quality, schedule, and safety, with a large number of questions and a tight time limit. The practical competition consists of two parts: a written presentation and on-site construction. In the written presentation, contestants are required to provide an overview of operational procedures and key construction points, including quality acceptance of precast wall panels, inspection of work surfaces and lifting equipment, as well as acceptance criteria for lifting and installation. During the on-site construction phase, contestants are tasked with installing precast wall panel components based on the written presentation (i.e., the construction plan).
After fierce competition, all three contestants selected by the company successfully passed the dual qualification assessment covering both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, earning the Prefabricated Construction Industry Worker Qualification Certificate issued by the Hangzhou Construction Industry Association. Furthermore, as representatives of Xiaoshan District, they achieved outstanding results in this competition.
Among them, competitors Wang Jianliang and Zhang Xing took first and third place, respectively, in the individual standings and were awarded the title of “Hangzhou Municipal Model Worker in Economic and Technological Innovation” by the Leading Group for the Hangzhou Municipal Employees’ Economic and Technological Innovation Campaign; competitor Cao Xiangsen placed fourth and was awarded the title of “Hangzhou Municipal Model Worker in Economic Innovation within the Construction Sector” by the Hangzhou Municipal Construction Trade Union.
The development of prefabricated construction is inseparable from a highly skilled workforce. This competition has fully showcased the outstanding professionalism and technical expertise of Dadi Steel Structure’s workers. Moving forward, the company will further promote the spirit of craftsmanship, accelerate the training and development of a professional talent pool and a skilled workforce that are aligned with the growth of prefabricated construction, and provide robust skill-based support and intellectual assurance for the high-quality development of our city’s construction industry.
