To address the challenge of heavy loads on the cantilevered steel truss roof of large venues, a buffering structure is required to transfer and mitigate the applied forces outward. To this end, we have developed a prefabricated steel truss support system featuring a buffered hysteretic damping mechanism. This technology employs tension rods at the lower end of the device to provide tensile traction and buffers at the upper end to offer supportive resistance, thereby providing buffered hysteresis response to both vertical oscillations and lateral sway of the planar truss. This effectively dissipates stress and reduces damage to the steel structure.
