First Batch of Embedded Anchor Bolts for the Batangas Combined-Cycle Power Plant Project in the Philippines Shipped Successfully
On March 29, the first batch of embedded anchor bolts for the Batangas Combined-Cycle Power Plant project in the Philippines, constructed by Zhejiang Dadi Steel Structure Co., Ltd., was successfully shipped, marking the achievement of the project’s first major milestone. The cargo vessel will spend 15 to 20 days at sea, covering approximately 1,600 kilometers.
I. Batangas Combined-Cycle Power Plant Project in the Philippines

The Batangas Combined Cycle Power Plant project in the Philippines is located in Batangas Province. The project comprises three generating units and involves the use of 8,000 metric tons of steel. While the project’s design standards are U.S. specifications, the materials comply with Chinese national standards. This project marks another large-scale power plant construction undertaking in the Philippines for our company, following our previous involvement in the GNPK and GNPD power plant projects there.
II. Strictly Control Details and Seize Every Minute to Boost Production
The embedded parts and anchor bolt system components to be delivered this time must comply with U.S. standards such as AWS D1.1, AWS D1.8, ASTM A123, ASTM A153, ASME B1.13M (6g), and ASTM F2329, with rigorous control over quality details. With regard to personnel, operators must meet the relevant requirements of AWS D1.1 and D1.8 (seismic design), and all welders must pass the D1.8 welding qualification examination. In addition, due to the fully galvanized nature of these components, fabrication is challenging and quality requirements are exceptionally high.

Since procurement and fabrication commenced at the end of January, our company has proactively organized technical personnel to undergo construction-code training and conduct detailed review meetings on design drawings. During the fabrication process, we have rigorously adhered to technical and drawing specifications, dynamically monitored resource allocation and key construction procedures, maintained real-time visibility into production progress, and ensured comprehensive traceability throughout the fabrication process. On March 18, we successfully completed the first batch of component fabrication tasks.

II. A Thousand-Li Journey, Overcoming Numerous Obstacles to Finally Set Sail

In late March, amid a surge in COVID-19 cases and a standstill in land transportation, the originally scheduled shipment from Shanghai could not proceed. However, the project timeline brooked no delay, so Zhejiang Dadi Steel Structure Co., Ltd., after extensive coordination and communication, arranged for the cargo to be shipped in accordance with the temporary notice on container-truck transport issued during Shanghai’s epidemic-control period. Following an all-night effort, at 4:00 a.m. on March 25, the first batch of finished embedded anchor bolts was delivered to the port for packing. On March 29, under the gentle sea breeze, the cargo vessel departed Shanghai Port bound for Batangas, Philippines.
The successful shipment of the first batch of embedded components has set a strong start for the subsequent phases of this project. The Philippines is a key national market for Zhejiang Dadi Steel Structure Co., Ltd., and the Batangas Combined-Cycle Power Plant Project represents another major milestone in the company’s entry into the Philippine market. At present, all operations in the fabrication workshop are proceeding in an orderly and intensive manner. With unwavering enthusiasm and a commitment to practical, results-oriented work, Zhejiang Dadi Steel Structure Co., Ltd. is determined to ensure the smooth execution of the project, deliver a satisfactory outcome to the client, and lay a solid foundation for expanding its presence in international markets.
