August 5–6: The fresh recruits of Dadi Steel Structure’s Class of 2022

Brimming with vigor

With aspirations and dreams

A fun sports event has been launched.

I. Let’s Get Excited with Fun Sports!

Before the activity began, all team members were divided into groups under the facilitator’s guidance. On each banner, countless creative ideas took shape—ranging from naming the teams and designing their emblems to crafting catchy slogans and formation displays. Through conversation and drawing, everyone gradually grew closer, built mutual understanding, and forged a shared “spirit” for the group. From that moment on, the four small teams—the “Ride the Waves Team,” the “Gourd Babies Team,” the “Unity Team,” and the “Woof Woof Team”—were fully assembled.

The “Invincible Bumper Ball” game fosters team cohesion and unity through competition, while the “Collaborative Tower-Building” activity emphasizes division of labor, mutual complementarity, and coordinated action. The subsequent “Forge Ahead” exercise requires each team member to strap a band around their ankle and move forward in unison, cultivating trust and seamless rapport through open communication. Before anyone realizes it, the atmosphere on site has become warm and harmonious.

II. Double the Fun, Part 2

With the first two games serving as a solid foundation and warm-up, the team members were brimming with curiosity about what was to come. “Caterpillar Battle” put everyone’s physical strength and endurance to the test; throughout the game, they worked together in perfect unison, every drop of sweat radiating boundless energy. As their familiarity with one another deepened, they moved on to the “Fun Sumo” challenge: each participant donned an inflatable sumo suit and engaged in a spirited push-and-shove match, with the first to be pushed out of the ring declared the loser. The teammates competed fiercely, vying to see who could hold out the longest. Finally, the “Target Sandbag Throw” brought everyone back to the simple joys of childhood games from the 1980s and ’90s.

III. Endless Fun with Land Curling

On the morning of August 6, the “Squirrels and the Big Tree” activity took interaction to a new level, with the land curling event bringing the atmosphere to a fever pitch. Team members gripped the handles of their stones, knelt on one knee, and pushed their stones down the lane. With a crisp “thwack,” an opponent’s stone was knocked out of the house, awarding points to their team—prompting cheers and high-fives from teammates. Led by the four team captains, players took turns stepping onto the ice, carefully aiming, releasing their stones, and letting them glide across the surface. Throughout the arena, shouts of encouragement and applause rose and fell in waves.

Although the process may seem straightforward, land curling requires both individual skill and team tactics and coordination. Based on the cumulative scores from all events, the “Paw Patrol” team emerged as the champion of this Fun Sports Meet, and was presented with a medal and commemorative photo by the company’s chief engineer, Mo Guanshui.

Through game after game, participants embark on a cultural galaxy where cooperation and competition coexist, swiftly sensing the intrinsic power of openness, integration, equal footing, and inclusiveness—and encountering countless unknowns and delightful surprises.

A vibrant and engaging sports day brimming with youthful energy allowed the newcomers to move from initial adjustment to seamless teamwork, honing their perseverance in overcoming challenges, deepening their understanding of effective communication, mutual empathy, and sincere collaboration, and strengthening the trust and friendship that bind them together.
