On March 1, People’s Daily published a photo report covering the continuous construction progress of Haikou Wuyuanhe Stadium undertaken by DADI, which has exceeded 60% during Spring Festival.

At the construction site of Haikou Wuyuanhe Stadium, Hainan, the support dismantlement of the metal roofing center is in the progress on Feb 25.

To speed up, over 60 workers were still holding their positions during Spring Festival. The interior construction has been already started in order to complete the mission at the end of the year.

Located at the east side of Changbin Road, Haikou, the Wuyuanhe Stadium (phase II) project has obtained investment worth appr. 1.065 billion yuan. The stadium includes one floor underground, one main floor and 6 partial floors aboveground; the basketball training hall includes one main floor and 2 partial floors aboveground. Auxiliary engineering like exterior roads, water supply and drainage, electric power supply, and afforest, etc. are also included. The total building area of this project is 78,179 m2, land area is 58,953.32 m2, and the building coverage area is 30,707 m2.

After completion, Haikou will be capable of holding sporting events such as basketball, badminton, and boxing, etc. The phase I and II stadiums will be a joint center of sports competition at Wuyuanhe diearea, enabling various international matches and performances to be held, which can enrich residents’ life of art and sport, strengthen the international presence of Haikou and Hainan, and contribute to the development of Hainan Free Trade Port.
