(Summary description)On October 28th, the first steel column for the newly built Huaibei West Station on the Huaisu-Bengbu Intercity Railway was successfully hoisted—marking the project’s official launch into main structure construction.The station spans 21,991 square meters with a height of 37.5 meters. It integrates a reinforced concrete frame structure with a diagonal steel truss system, comprising an elevated station house above the tracks and a side station building. Passengers will access the station via the second-floor drop-off platform.The roof, covering a projected area of approximately 19,500 square meters, is supported by 29 circular concrete-filled steel tube columns through a diagonal steel truss system. It features a maximum span of 132.4 meters and a maximum overhang of 9.2 meters, with skylights positioned at a top elevation of 32.8 meters.As a key node on the Huaisu-Bengbu Intercity Railway, Huaibei West Station will function as a vital link connecting the Northern Anhui Urban Agglomeration to the Hefei Metropolitan Circle.
