(Summary description)On August 18, DADI holds an activity to welcome university graduates who have joined the company in 2021, with a lecture given to help them fully engaged with the brand-new work environment and quickly achieve character transition, and with a ceremony convened assigning experienced employees as masters for each freshman, so as to give full play for our talent-fostering system to “pass on the knowledge, help newcomers in need, and guide them to competence”. Fang Shunsheng the general manager and the deputy general managers such as Xu Xiangjun and Luo Mingwen attend the meeting and give the opening speeches. Taking his own experience gained before becoming a senior member of the company as example, Fang encourages new employees to make a specific plan for the first five years of the career, learn and accumulate experience from practice through the constant study of professional skills and communications with people and society. After Fang, Xu makes a detailed explanation of the risks and opportunities in the current market, introducing company’s marketing strategy and quoting Han Yu, a writer of ancient China, “to be a teacher is to pass on the truth, teach professional knowledge, and give answers to students”, a saying in his article On Teaching, to express his expectation for the masters assigned. He also urges newcomers to “ask questions with modesty, brave to make mistakes, and work hard to correct them”. Moreover, Luo explains the necessity for each position to cooperate with others during the implementation of contracts. On the meeting, each pair of apprentice and master sign the apprenticeship contract indicating the responsibility of both. Consensus is forged that all of us will make progress together during education and learning and contribute more to the development of the company. Master playing the role of a guide to pass on knowledge, help his apprentice, and encourage him/her to practice is important to inherit the skills, ensure the inheriting process, and encourage employees to jointly make progress.
