DADI Claims Two Prizes in The First BIM Contest of Zhejiang Steel Structure Association

DADI Claims Two Prizes in The First BIM Contest of Zhejiang Steel Structure Association

(Summary description)

Recently, the results of the First BIM Contest of Zhejiang Steel Structure Association, in which DADI takes the lead for organizing the event, have been revealed, including two single-channel prizes won by DADI, i.e. second prize for “Junfeng Road Middle School Project” and third prize for “Phase II of Wuyuanhe Culture&Sports Center Stadium, Haikou”.

 



 

Located in the northern Tongzhen’gong Rd., and western Junfeng Rd., Licang District, Qingdao, Shandong Province, the middle school covers 69200 m2 with a steel consumption of 9400 metric tons, adopting assembly steel structure, which is the first case of Qingdao’s steel structure industry. After completion, it will further improve the compulsory education coverage in Licang District.

 

In construction, the single steel truss spanned for 33 meters with the weight being about 50 tons. The hoisting of this kind requires high precision with high probability of severe deformation, which is very difficult to control. From planning to construction, BIM, boasting its macrocosmic layout and visuality, helped us improve the construction efficiency, ensure the quality, and lower the cost during processes like three-dimension field arrangement, detailing design for steel structure, electromechanical pipeline comprehension, BIM construction, expanse control, quality control, operation and maintenance, etc.

 



 

Located at northern Changxiu Street, eastern Jin’er Rd., Changxiu District, Haikou, Hainan Province, the stadium covers 78518 m2 for 47.6 meters high. As a Haikou project of the culture and sports sectors in thirteenth “Five-year” Plan, it boasts the large span, huge consumption, and plentiful special materials. After completion, it can hold a wide range of international sports matches.

 

In planning and construction stages, we introduced BIM based on our professional technique, and optimized the work centering difficulties like the fabrication and installation of central rigid ring, installation of variable cross-section truss and Y-typed column, etc. We also made a good use of BIM on design and calculation of combined supporting system, construction process, and visual technical declaration, etc., so as to improve the management efficiency, lower the corresponding cost, accumulate data of various types, and achieve optimization on decisions.

 

Our splendid results fully embody the jury’s approval on our BIM application and ability. We will continue to promote our BIM technology based on project requirements and customers’ needs, introduce more talents, improve management team, and lay solid foundation to make our construction quality and safety control better, and to contribute our knowledge to the high-quality development for the steel structure.
